Your Story Has Power (Part 2)
Read: Ruth 2:1–23
"And she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes…?" — Ruth 2:10. Welcome again as we continue this journey through the week. May your heart remain encouraged, and may you begin to see your life through the lens of purpose. There comes a moment in every story where God steps in; and everything begins to shift…
"And she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes…?" — Ruth 2:10
"Then she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest…" — Ruth 2:23
Welcome again as we continue this journey through the week. May your heart remain encouraged, and may you begin to see your life through the lens of purpose. There comes a moment in every story where God steps in; and everything begins to shift.
Ruth had already made the decision. She had already entered the process. She was working, showing up, and staying faithful. But in Ruth chapter 2, we begin to see something deeper — divine favor. Boaz noticed her. Not because she demanded attention, but because her life carried something different. When he showed her kindness and protection, Ruth's response was humility: "Why have I found grace…?"
That question reveals something powerful! She did not take the moment for granted. Sometimes, when God begins to move in our lives, we can become casual about it. We can forget that favor is not earned; it is given. Ruth recognized that what was happening was beyond her effort. It was God aligning her story.
And here is the truth: when God steps into your story, things begin to happen that you cannot explain by effort alone. Doors begin to open. Help begins to come. People begin to notice. Not because you suddenly became better, but because God's hand is involved. But Ruth did something very important — she stayed.
The Scripture says she remained with the maidens of Boaz through the entire harvest. She did not move prematurely. She did not get distracted. She stayed connected to the place of her favor. There is wisdom in staying where you are planted until your season is complete. Moving too quickly can disconnect you from what God is still doing.
Ruth teaches us that when God brings you into a place of favor, you must remain grounded, humble, and consistent. Your story gains power not just when God opens doors; but when you handle those open doors well.
So this week, pay attention. God may already be moving in ways you have not fully recognized. A conversation, an opportunity, a connection — these may be signs that your story is shifting. Do not take it lightly. Stay faithful. Stay humble. Stay focused. Because when God steps into your story, it is not the end; it is the beginning of something greater. Pray now!!!
