When I Forgot the Number of Hair on My Head

Read: Matthew 10:30  ·  1 Peter 5:7

"But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered." — Matthew 10:30. There are moments in life when things feel overwhelming; when thoughts are scattered, emotions are heavy, and you can't even keep track of your own worries, let alone the "number of hairs on your head." "But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered." — Matthew 10:30

There are moments in life when things feel overwhelming; when thoughts are scattered, emotions are heavy, and you can't even keep track of your own worries, let alone the "number of hairs on your head." It's a picture of human limitation. You try to hold everything together, to figure everything out, to stay in control; but at some point, you realize you simply can't. And that's where this truth becomes deeply comforting: what you cannot count, God already knows.

Jesus said that even the hairs on your head are numbered. That means nothing about your life is overlooked. Not your struggles, not your silent prayers, not the things you cannot explain to anyone else. While you may feel like you've lost track of things, God has never lost sight of you.

Sometimes we carry burdens as if everything depends on us. We replay situations in our minds, worry about outcomes, and try to solve problems beyond our strength. But 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us of a different posture; to cast our cares on Him. Not to manage them alone, but to release them into His hands.

When a child is overwhelmed, they run to someone stronger; someone who can carry what they cannot. That is the picture here. God is not distant; He is attentive and deeply concerned. He does not just see the big moments of your life; He sees the details, the things you have forgotten, the things you don't even know how to pray about.

"When I forgot" is not failure; it is a reminder of dependence. It is a moment that reveals that you were never meant to carry everything by yourself. So when your thoughts are too many, when your worries feel endless, and when you feel like you've lost count of what matters, remember this: God has already counted. He knows. He cares. And He is able. You may forget, but He never does. Hold on and Hold out. Victory is coming. Pray now!!!

🙏 Prayer Points

  1. Lord, thank You for knowing me completely, even in the smallest details of my life.
  2. Help me to release every worry and burden into Your hands.
  3. Teach me to trust that You are in control, even when I feel overwhelmed.
  4. Remind me daily that I am seen, known, and cared for by You.
  5. Give me peace in the areas where my mind feels restless.
  6. Strengthen my faith to depend on You and not on my own understanding.

Remain Blessed; Shalom

A Line Is Being Drawn (Part 3)

Read: Revelation 22:11–12

Welcome once again, dear readers of CDM's devotional. As this week unfolds, may your heart remain open to God, and may you grow in wisdom, strength, and purpose. As we continue, there is something important we must not miss in this passage: before the line is finally drawn, mercy has already been speaking…

"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still… and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still… And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me…" — Revelation 22:11–12

Welcome once again, dear readers of CDM's devotional. As this week unfolds, may your heart remain open to God, and may you grow in wisdom, strength, and purpose. As we continue, there is something important we must not miss in this passage: before the line is finally drawn, mercy has already been speaking.

God is not quick to close the door on anyone. Throughout Scripture, we see His patience, His calling, His warnings, and His invitations. He gives time for repentance. He gives space for change. He sends His word again and again — not to condemn, but to redirect. But there comes a point where repeated choices become a settled path.

That is why this Scripture sounds so final: "let him be… still." It reflects a condition where a person has continuously chosen a direction until it defines them. Not because God refused them, but because they refused to turn. This is what makes today so important.

Right now, you are still in the place where mercy speaks. You can still respond. You can still adjust. You can still say, "Lord, I choose Your way." No matter what yesterday looked like, today is still an opportunity. There is an African proverb that says: "When the road is still open, choose the right path before it narrows." That wisdom speaks directly to this moment. The narrowing is not to trap you; it is the natural result of repeated decisions.

God's desire is not that anyone remains in darkness, but that all come into His light. His call is not harsh; it is loving, but it is also urgent. So the question is no longer just about standing firm if you are already walking in righteousness. It is also about responding if you know there are areas in your life that need to change. Do not delay what you already know God is asking of you.

Because one of the greatest gifts God gives is the opportunity to choose Him — freely, sincerely, and wholeheartedly. And when you respond to that call, everything begins to shift. Direction changes. Peace returns. Purpose becomes clearer. That is the power of responding while mercy is still speaking.

I pray that as you continue through this week, may you not ignore the gentle voice of God. May you respond with courage, walk with clarity, and live with purpose. May this be a week of right decisions, renewed strength, and deeper connection with God. Have a blessed and fulfilling week ahead. Pray now!!!

🙏 Prayer Points

  1. Thank God for today's word as led.
  2. Lord, thank You for Your mercy that continues to call me back to You.
  3. Help me to respond quickly to Your voice and not delay in obedience.
  4. Search my heart and reveal any area that needs to change.
  5. Give me the humility to turn away from anything that does not please You.
  6. Strengthen my desire to walk fully in Your truth.
  7. Let Your mercy lead me into a life of righteousness and purpose.
  8. Help me to make decisions today that I will not regret tomorrow.
  9. Pray for this devotional and pray about any issue(s) affecting your peace.

Remain Blessed; Shalom!!!

A Line Is Being Drawn – 2

Read: Revelation 22:11–12

Welcome again, dear readers of CDM's devotional, as we continue into this new week. May your heart remain steady, your spirit strengthened, and your focus fixed on what truly matters. In the first part, we reflected on the reality that a line is being drawn — that our daily choices are shaping our final standing. But today, the question goes deeper: how do you remain steadfast when life pressures you to compromise?

"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still… and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still… And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me…" — Revelation 22:11–12

Because the truth is, it is not always easy to remain righteous in a world that often rewards shortcuts. It is not always convenient to stand for truth when others are bending it. There are moments when doing the right thing may cost you comfort, opportunities, or even relationships.

Yet this Scripture calls for consistency: "he that is righteous, let him be righteous still." That word still is powerful. It speaks of endurance. It speaks of continuing, even when it is tiring. It speaks of a faith that does not change with circumstances.

In many African communities, there is a saying that "a tree is truly known during the storm." When the winds are calm, every tree looks strong. But when pressure comes, only those with deep roots remain standing. In the same way, your spiritual depth is revealed in moments of testing and trials.

God is not calling you in your perfect state — He wants you to strive and work towards perfection: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father, which is in heaven is perfect" (Matt. 5:48). He is also calling you to keep choosing Him, again and again. Hold on to integrity, even when no one is watching — remember that God sees. Remain faithful, even when it feels like your efforts are unnoticed.

Here is an encouragement: your consistency is not in vain. The Scripture reminds us that Jesus is coming with a reward. That means every quiet act of obedience, every resisted temptation, every moment you chose truth over compromise — God sees it all. Nothing is wasted. Nothing is overlooked.

So this week, as situations arise that test your character, remember who you are becoming. Remember that your life is not just about today; it is about eternity. And every decision is an opportunity to stand firm.

Let your righteousness not be seasonal, but steady. Let your faith not be occasional, but consistent. Because in the end, it is not how loudly you started, but how faithfully you continued. Pray now.

Today's Declaration: As you go through this week, may you stand firm where it matters most. May your life be rooted, your heart be steady, and your path be guided by truth. Wishing you continued grace and a victorious week ahead.

🙏 Prayer Points

  1. Thank God for today's word and the opportunity of a new week.
  2. Lord, give me the strength to remain steadfast in my walk with You, no matter the pressure around me.
  3. Help me to choose righteousness consistently, even when it is difficult or inconvenient.
  4. Deepen my spiritual roots so that I can stand firm in times of testing.
  5. Remove every desire in me that pulls me toward compromise.
  6. Teach me to value eternal rewards over temporary gains.
  7. Let my life reflect consistency, integrity, and true faith in all I do.
  8. Strengthen me to finish well and remain faithful to the end.
  9. Pray for this devotional, the founder, and everyone that contributes in making it a success daily.

Remain Blessed; Shalom!!!

A Line Is Being Drawn

Read: Revelation 22:11–12

Welcome, dear readers of CDM's devotional, to a new week. May this week bring you clarity, strength, and a deeper awareness of God's presence in your life. There is something weighty and sobering about this passage. It speaks of a moment when decisions are no longer being debated, postponed, or negotiated. A line is being drawn…

"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be." — Revelation 22:11–12

Welcome, dear readers of CDM's devotional, to a new week. May this week bring you clarity, strength, and a deeper awareness of God's presence in your life. There is something weighty and sobering about this passage. It speaks of a moment when decisions are no longer being debated, postponed, or negotiated. A line is being drawn. A time is coming when what a person has chosen — whether righteousness or compromise — becomes settled.

This is not meant to create fear, but to awaken seriousness. Life often gives us the illusion that there is always more time, more chances, more opportunities to "get things right later." But this Scripture reminds us that our daily choices are shaping who we are becoming. Character is not built in one moment; it is formed over time, through repeated decisions.

Jesus says He is coming quickly, and His reward is with Him. That means our lives matter more than we sometimes realize. How we live, how we treat others, how we respond to truth — these things are not unnoticed. They are seeds being sown, and one day, there will be a harvest.

In many African cultures, there is a deep understanding of seasons — times for planting and times for reaping. No farmer waits until harvest to decide what to plant. The decision is made long before, and the outcome follows naturally. In the same way, the life you are living today is already pointing toward a future outcome.

So this new week is not just another set of days — it is another opportunity. An opportunity to choose righteousness again. To walk in integrity again. To align your heart with God again. No one drifts into holiness; it is chosen, intentionally and daily.

The beauty of this message is that you are still in the place of decision. Your story is still being written. You can choose truth over compromise, light over darkness, and purpose over distraction. And as you do, you are not alone. God's grace is available to strengthen you, guide you, and keep you steady. Pray Now!

🙏 Prayer Points

  1. Thank God for today's word as led.
  2. Lord, help me to make choices this week that align with Your will and purpose for my life.
  3. Give me the strength to walk in righteousness even when it is not easy.
  4. Open my eyes to see the importance of my daily decisions.
  5. Help me to live with eternity in view and not just temporary comfort.
  6. Cleanse my heart from anything that pulls me away from holiness.
  7. Guide my steps this week and let my life reflect Your truth in all I do.
  8. Prepare me, Lord, for Your coming, and help me to remain faithful.

Remain Blessed; Shalom

The Glory Is Not the Building!

"For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." — Romans 14:17

Welcome, dear readers, to today's devotional. We bless God for His faithfulness in bringing us to the last day in the month of April. It has not been by our strength, wisdom, or ability, but by His grace alone. As we stand at this closing point of the month, it is important to reflect deeply on what truly matters.

I am reminded of the sale of the popular Crystal Cathedral — started by Dr. Robert Schuller, author of the great book, Tough Times Don't Last, But Tough People Do — to the Catholic Church years ago, and I was saddened! I thought it could mark an end to the renowned televangelist ministry, broadcasted more than 57 years ago as a weekly prayer service, from the striking all-glass roof sanctuary that became an icon of the late Rev. Robert H. Schuller's ministry.

The church saw her revenue nosedive in 2008, and despite massive budget cuts, it sought bankruptcy protection a few years later! The existing congregation then began to question the future of the church without the building they had come to love. But as I wondered about what the outcome would be, the Holy Ghost reminded me that the kingdom of God and the body of Christ is not in meat, drinks, clothes, hairstyles, perfumes, cars, houses, church buildings, glamour, or properties (see Romans 14:17). These things can be lost and are subject to economic factors; but in this 2nd quarter of 2026, you must spend more time seeking for the glory, power, and beauty of the inner man.

Spend more time on your knees than in the salon or dressing mirror weekly! Pastors must seek God for fresh oil daily and not seek for more beautiful buildings or properties! May people know you more for your love, holiness, signs, wonders, and miracles and not by your hairstyle, cars, houses, or vanities that can disappear within the twinkling of an eye!

Acts 7:48 reminds us clearly that God does not dwell in buildings made by human hands. That means the presence of God is not tied to structures, no matter how beautiful or expensive they are. Buildings may inspire, but they do not define God's glory. The true temple is the life yielded to Him.

In many places today, there is a strong focus on outward appearance — bigger auditoriums, finer decorations, louder displays. But heaven is not moved by glamour; heaven responds to purity, obedience, and hunger for God. The danger is when we begin to measure spiritual success by physical things. Romans 14:17 brings us back to truth: the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. These are things no economy can crash, no thief can steal, and no situation can destroy.

As this month ends, ask yourself: where is your focus? On what can be seen, or on what is eternal? Because the glory of God is not in the building; it is in the life that carries Him. Let this be a turning point. Let your hunger shift. Let your priorities realign.

As you step into a new month tomorrow, may your life carry greater glory — not outward, but inward. May you grow in depth, in truth, and in God. Have a blessed transition into the new month ahead. Think HEAVEN AT LAST! Think! Think! Pray now.

🙏 Prayer Points

  1. Thank God for today's word as led now.
  2. Repent from placing the emphasis on physical vanities above the spiritual.
  3. Lord, help me to focus on what truly matters — my relationship with You.
  4. Let Your glory be revealed in my life, not just around me, and give me a deeper hunger for righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
  5. I receive grace to spend more time in prayer and the Word than ever before. So help me God. I reject vanity pursuit!
  6. Help me to live with eternity in view and not temporary appearances, and let my life reflect Your power, holiness, and presence daily.
  7. Holy Ghost, revive me again and set me on a fresh fire in Jesus' name.
  8. Pray about the month of May now. Cancel bad news and loose testimonies!

Remain Blessed; Shalom!!!
